The Guilford scale was used to categorize the relationship, which fell into the category of "quite meaningful" (0.40 to 0.70). The strength of the influence (KP) of the danger of smoking on the deterrent effect was 36.1%, indicating that the use of images made a significant contribution to efforts to create a deterrent effect.

The results of this study indicate that the dangers of smoking on cigarette packaging do have a significant impact in creating a deterrent effect for smokers, especially among students.
